I am a seeker of truth, and that is why I consider it such a privilege to be an owner/caretaker of such a store. I am a seeker of happiness, which I accept is a state of mind and makes for interesting thought forums. I am a musician, but some might say that drummers only hang out with musicians. Being British I also love humour, in particular Benny Hill, Monty Python, Dave Allen etc etc. With my good friend Yurgen Islander, known as Mr. I. (music teacher/children's entertainer) we produce a series of children's educational CD's called 'Facts & Fun'. We also write songs for a children's theatre group. (see links). I also write blues and other styles but all will have a message or insight usually related to a current life experience, personal or otherwise. I was borne and raised in Wolverhampton England and played in many bands from the age of 15. The first, 'Steve Bret & The Mavericks', had our own TV show for a few months. The bass player of that band is the now legendary 'Dave Holland' who some say is the worlds leading jazz bassist. After that a number of cover bands and then emigration to Canada, a move which I have never regretted except for the distance between family and friends
